About Tim Hamm

Ever since the early 1980s, Tim Hamm has found himself with a natural talent in both computers and music.    During his high school years, he was involved with data entry for school calendars, as well as active in the school music program.     Outside music involvement included playing electric bass guitar for area rock bands.

After graduation, Tim pursued a college education in broadcast production.    Primarily interested in audio recording engineering, Tim also followed a secondary music composition degree.     While in college, Tim began working at a local manufacturing company, helping in the Information Technology department.    As Tim became more experienced with corporate computer system administration, the broadcast production education was not completed.

In the early 1990s, Tim became involved in a band with a coworker.   At this time, there began a renewed interest in audio recording, and Tim participated in two original projects with the band.    By the late 1990s, Tim had began working with home computer recording software from companies like Cakewalk and Sonic Foundry (now owned by Sony Media).

With the new millennium, Tim was continuing his career in the Information Technology field, as well as recording with an acoustic/folk band named Sojourn.    Having taken a more active role in the computer music field, Tim took production credits for two CD releases from this group.

Now in 2007, Tim has had almost 20 years experience with IBM servers (primarily OS/400 based), and Windows based PCs.   He also now owns his own computer recording system, based upon the popular Digidesign Pro Tools LE software.      Tim has also been building his skills with website design software (Adobe's DreamWeaver) and video creation software (Adobe's Premiere).
