About Hammster Wheel

Audio Recording, Mastering, Restoration, and band support

Hammster Wheel is founded by musician Tim Hamm.

Hammster Wheel made it's debut in 2003, with the recording of the CD "Sometimes You're Weary" from dete tilma. This project was recorded with a standard Tascam 8-track cassette PortaStudio. The project was mastered using Sony Media Sound Forge, and was independently released. Hammster Wheel then began working on digital transfer projects (taking vinyl recordings and creating remastered CD-Rs from the vinyl).

Hammster Wheel completed recording of the CD "Once Again" for the group Sojourn (of which Tim was a member). This project was mastered using Sound Forge, and was independently released.

In 2004, Hammster Wheel upgraded equipment to digital including a Digidesign Digi001 and Pro Tools LE, and multiple plug-ins for effects and mastering.

In 2005, Sojourn completed recording of their CD "The Journey Continues...". In late 2006, Dete Tilma completed work on his follow-up release "Glass of Water".

In 2008, studio hardware and software were upgraded to Digi 003 and Pro Tools 8. Recent upgrades to 64-bit systems and Pro Tool 10 have brought better and more consistent computer performance.

Hammster Wheel looks to offer local musicians a low cost option to creating demo CDs, as well as offering digital transfer services to the public.
